Your surprises are private.

Every HeyUnwrap lives at a long, random link that can’t be guessed. It isn’t listed anywhere, and we ask search engines not to index it.

Photos and voice notes are stored privately. They are only shown to people who have the link, or to you while you’re creating it on your device.

Only upload photos you’re comfortable sharing with the person you’re sending it to, and that the people in them would be happy to see shared. Don’t upload photos of children without their parent’s permission.

Unfinished drafts are deleted after 90 days. A published link stays live for the period your package includes (one, two or five years), then it is deleted with its photos and voice notes. To delete one sooner, email hello@unfurl.in with the link.

Every plan lets you save a memory card. Keepsake and Signature add a PDF of the whole journey, and Signature a video. Save them from the share page or the end of the journey; they are yours to keep, even after the link ends.

If HeyUnwrap ever closes, we will email everyone with a live link at least 60 days before, so there is time to save your keepsakes.

Memory cards only contain the photo, words and names you choose; nothing from the experience is added on its own. We record simple, anonymous events, such as when a link is opened or finished, to improve the product. We also use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights, which use no cookies and only see page addresses with private links removed. We don’t sell data and we don’t show ads.

When you describe your surprise, the description is sent to our classification provider (TypeSafe Jev, through OpenRouter) to suggest journeys. Payments are handled by Razorpay; we never see your card details.
